Recently, we’ve been discussing how to adapt Tai Chi and Qigong for people with multiple sclerosis or other forms of limited mobility. But it’s more than just for those with limitations. This discussion gets to the central issue of true Chi Development.

Check it out:
Practicing with multiple sclerosis or limited mobility <— Click here

ps, this is my story,

This topic is very dear to my heart. Practicing Tai Chi for those with disabilities, such as MS (multiple sclerosis). My husband was diagnosed with MS within the first 5 years of our marriage, and MS took away from his body, little by little, for the next 30 years, until it took all it could, including his wonderful mind, 3 years ago.

MS does not affect everyone the same way. There are different types of MS, they all behave differentlty. I have known 4 people with MS personally.

1 - A friend got an attack (in her 20′s), was hospitalized and then it went away, forever. I know this type of MS is common. Thank God, because this type of MS goes away again. And stays away.

2 – The type that hits you quickly and basically debilitates you, but then it goes away again, but comes back for another attack and so on.

3 – I know of 2 people that in their late 20′s got MS, and went downhill very fast. One was a friend of ours, the other a teacher of mine. They became fully disabled within a short time. My teacher graduated University, started his job, and within a few years became totally disabled. This type, as most types, often hit in the prime of life.

4 – My husband’s MS snuck up on him. It started slowly, the specialist doctors didn’t even know what it was, and as always, when they don’t understand it, said it was in his head. But, then, as time went on, he got more and more symptoms. Finally, he was officially diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic.

He didn’t really have any major attacks, but instead, his MS just took little by little, year after year. It was relentless, unforgiving. And in the end, totally devastating. If it had a face, it would be laughing back at us, totally satisfied at it’s devastation.

Apparently, MS is also the only neurological disease (so I was told) that could also repair itself. Hence, some people have attacks, and then get recovered again.

My husband’s loss of “self” went slowly. It took years for him to progress from walking stick, to a real cane, to a walker, to a wheel chair, and then to be house bound, and then, for the last 10 years bed bound….

It’s a long intro, I know. But I wish I would have known about this while he would have been able to do the Tai Chi Work Outs.

Dear Reader,

I have an exciting announcement for you today from Clinical Hypnotherapist, Steve G. Jones. I have Steve’s permission to share it with you. He discusses an empowering product of his that he wants to share with you… Enjoy!

Steve here and I want to let you know about something that can make a serious ‘Impact’ on your health almost immediately:

–> Heal QiGong

Qigong is a form of exercise common in China and gaining popularity in other parts of the world. “Qi” means life-force energy of the body and “gong” means skill.

Three main components of it include physical exercise, meditation, and proper breathing. It is meant to restore and preserve health and energy in the body, mind, and spirit.

Benefits include:

Healing of disease

Stress relief

Physical conditioning

Increased spirituality

Increase mental acuity

Slow down the aging process

–> Heal QiGong

This is a brand new, amazingly powerful program that I’m releasing for the first time.

But here’s the kicker:

Here’s why you must order today – I have priced this powerful system at what I consider to be a very generous and fair price… and in fact..it is only a market test. I will also be testing higher prices for these programs.

Here’s something you must realize – I reserve the right to jack up the price…probably by $20 minimum…at any time without notice. And, that could happen tomorrow, next week, or later today.

You’ll Learn how to:

Heal your body and improve your overall health with qigong

Energize your body while relaxing your mind

Use qigong to fully restore every body part to optimum health

Balance your emotions

Find tranquility and bliss

Head to this webpage and see it for yourself:

–> Heal QiGong

I want to make you aware of a really goo blog post from Al Somon,

A “Chi River” or a “Chi Goal” Person – Which are YOU?

The New Year is a great time to reflect on your Tai Chi, Qigong, and Chi Development, and to start thinking about your training for the upcoming New Year.

And one of the most important questions you can ask yourself during this reflection is, “Am I a Chi River person, or am I a Chi Goal person?”

This question cuts right to the heart of what it means to be a self-motivated, independent-minded Chi student.

And having this “self-knowledge” can help you proceed with confidence on the path to better health, stress relief, and Chi Development .

Self-Motivated, Independent-Minded …. Read the article right here,

I want to share a message with you,

“Four Treasures of Tai Chi: Essence, Energy, Spirit, and Power <– click here

“Hey Al – I got your last email about the four treasures. But all the books I read talk about the three treasures in Chinese Medicine? Where do you get the fourth one?”

In Tai Chi, we also talk about the three treasures (jing, chi, shen) but we talk about “jin” or internal power as well. Because these four are connected, we call them the four treasures of Tai Chi.

But really, whether it’s three or four doesn’t matter.

What matters is that you understand how this theory applies DIRECTLY to what you are learning in your Tai Chi and Qigong courses.

Many Tai Chi instructors include “Tai Chi theory” in their teaching, but usually with vague explanations that are so confusing there is NO WAY you could relate it to your actual practice.

For example, an instructor might tell you that in Tai Chi and Qigong, “jing creates chi.” Then they will teach you the movements of their Tai Chi and Qigong style. But do they ever point out exactly how the movements cause “jing” to create “chi”? Do they point out where it happens?

But wouldn’t you rather have useful explanations – not some nice theories that you have to take on faith – but practical and tangible explanations that are directly applicable to what you are learning in Tai Chi and Qigong?”

Well, I couldn’t have said it any different. This Tai Chi, Qigong is amazing. Check it out.

Back pain has three general sources: body, mind, and diet. Yet the Chinese have been practicing and perfecting an art called Tai chi (pronounced “tie chee”) that helps all three at the same time since the 12th century!

Although it was originally developed as a martial art, Tai chi is used as much for health reasons as self defense now.

By focusing on proper movement, controlled breathing, and meditation, Tai chi helps those who practice it prepare their mind, body and spirit for healing – usually with great success.

Practitioners believe the practice of tai chi even helps the digestive system work better. Perhaps more importantly, tai chi helps you become more focused and calmer, dealing better with emotions that can trigger overeating.
